The iOS app is licensed, not sold, under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement: Standard EULA.
That is the license for the app you download from the App Store. We do not replace it with our own EULA. The sections below are additional terms between you and Makar Kovtunov for the Clio service: the account, sync, groups, and AI features. If they conflict with Apple’s EULA about the app license itself, Apple’s EULA controls that license.
These Terms govern your use of Clio, listed on the App Store as “Clio AI: Expense Tracker” (the “Service”). The Service includes the iOS app and the web app. Please read them carefully.
Makar Kovtunov, an individual, Belgrade, Serbia. Contact: kovtunovdesign@gmail.com
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is for people aged 16 and over. By using it you confirm that you are at least 16.
Clio is a tool for personal and shared expense tracking: records, categories, repeating expenses, groups, voice input, and AI parsing of text and receipts. The iOS app can be downloaded only in the Apple storefronts we make available. Your storefront is the country of your Apple ID. The Service is free. If we add optional paid features, we will update these Terms before anyone is charged. Any later in-app purchase is billed by Apple, under Apple’s terms.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, exact balances, or exact AI recognition. An AI draft can be wrong; you are responsible for what you save. The Service is not a bank, not a payment service, and not financial, tax, or legal advice. We may change or stop features.
You are responsible for access to your account and for what happens under it. You can delete the account at any time: Profile → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and follows the Privacy Policy.
You own the content you submit. You give us a license to host it, show it to members of groups you join, and send it to the processors named in the Privacy Policy, only to run the Service. Do not submit someone else’s sensitive or financial information unless you have the right to. Voice and photos may be processed by OpenAI, as the Privacy Policy describes. Other members of a group can see your name, photo, public code, and the expenses shared there.
The Service, including its code and design, belongs to us or is licensed to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service under these Terms.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or loss of data, including from an AI draft you saved or a balance that was wrong. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 3 months before the claim. The Service is free, so that amount may be zero. This limit does not apply where the law forbids it, including liability that cannot legally be limited.
We may suspend or close access if you break these Terms or create a security or stability risk. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
We may update these Terms. The date at the top will change. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will tell you in the app or by email when the law requires notice. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. The courts of Belgrade have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law in your country lets you bring a claim locally.
